How to switch in three steps
Screenshot your Flo calendar
Open Flo, go to your cycle calendar, and take a screenshot. That's the only thing you need from Flo.
Import into PinkyBloom
Open PinkyBloom and use Screenshot Import. It reads your period dates, ovulation, and symptoms on-device — no manual re-entry.
Delete your Flo account
Your history is now on your phone. Delete your Flo account to pull your data off their servers for good.
What comes over, and what stays behind
No surprises. Here's exactly what moves with you.
Comes with you
- Your period start & end dates
- Ovulation and fertile-window history
- Logged symptoms the screenshot shows
- Years of history — in seconds, via OCR
Left behind
- Your Flo account and email
- The cloud copy of your data
- Ads and the premium paywall
- Any of it being readable by us
Why people are leaving Flo
Not opinion — the documented record.
Flo paid $8M as part of a $56M class-action settlement (Sept 2025) for sharing menstrual and fertility data with Google, Meta, and Flurry. Google paid $48M.
In Aug 2025 a California jury found Meta liable for 'intentionally eavesdropping' on Flo users' menstrual data in violation of California's wiretap law.
Flo had already settled with the FTC in 2021 for sharing health data with Google and Facebook after promising users it was private.
Flo's 'Anonymous Mode' still uploads your data to Flo's servers — it just strips your name. With PinkyBloom there are no servers to upload to.

How to cancel Flo and delete your Flo account
Cancelling and deleting are two different things, and the order matters. If you subscribed inside the app, Flo Premium is billed by Apple or Google — not by Flo — so deleting your account or removing the app does not stop the charge. Cancel the subscription first, then delete the account.
On iPhone or iPad
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name at the very top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Find Flo in the list and tap it.
- Tap Cancel Subscription — you may need to scroll down. If there is no Cancel button, or you see an expiry date in red, it is already cancelled.
On Android
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Tap Flo, then Cancel subscription, and follow the instructions.
- Google Play keeps your access for the time you have already paid for — cancelling does not refund the current period.
Then delete the account
- Open Flo and tap your avatar (Menu).
- Tap Privacy settings.
- Tap Delete account and follow the instructions.
Deleting is irreversible — Flo states all your data is permanently removed and cannot be recovered. Import your history into PinkyBloom first, then delete. Cancelling alone does not delete anything: Flo confirms your data is kept and you simply continue on the free tier.
Steps verified against Apple Support ("If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple", HT118428), Google Play Help ("Cancel, pause, or change a subscription on Google Play", answer 7018481), and Flo's own Help Centre — which states that "because your payment was handled by Apple, they require you to manage the cancellation within your iPhone or iPad settings."
