Leave Clue. Keep your history. Stop paying for the cloud.
Clue is one of the more ethical trackers — but your data still lives on its servers behind a required email account and a $39.99/yr paywall. Bring your history to PinkyBloom in one screenshot, then cancel Clue Plus. Free forever, no account, on-device only.
How to switch in three steps
Screenshot your Clue calendar
Open Clue, go to your cycle calendar, and take a screenshot. That's the only thing you need from Clue.
Import into PinkyBloom
Open PinkyBloom and use Screenshot Import. It reads your period dates, ovulation, and symptoms on-device — no manual re-entry.
Delete your Clue account
Your history is now on your phone. Delete your Clue account to pull your data off their servers for good.
What comes over, and what stays behind
No surprises. Here's exactly what moves with you.
Comes with you
- Your period start & end dates
- Ovulation and fertile-window history
- Logged symptoms the screenshot shows
- Apple Health data Clue already synced
Left behind
- Your Clue account and email
- The $39.99/yr Clue Plus subscription
- The cloud copy of your data on EU servers
- Any of it being readable by us
Why people are leaving Clue
Not opinion — the documented record.
Clue stores your cycle, symptom, and sexual-activity data on its EU servers. GDPR regulates lawful data requests — it doesn't make them impossible. PinkyBloom has no servers to request from.
Clue requires an email account to use the app, tying your health data to your identity from minute one. PinkyBloom needs no account, no email, no login.
Clue Plus locks advanced predictions, Conceive mode, and the Analysis tab behind a $39.99/yr subscription — roughly $200 over five years. PinkyBloom includes every feature for free, forever.
Clue is ethical and doesn't sell to advertisers, but our hands-on review found it ships Braze + Firebase you can't opt out of. PinkyBloom carries no third-party analytics SDKs.

How to cancel Clue Plus and delete your Clue account
Order matters here, and Clue says so itself: deleting your data, your Clue account, or the app does not cancel an active Clue Plus subscription. The subscription is billed by whoever took your payment — Apple, Google, or Clue's website — so cancel there first. Clue also requires a running Clue Plus subscription to be cancelled before the account can be deleted.
On iPhone or iPad
- Open your Settings app.
- Tap your Apple ID profile at the top of the page.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Clue from the list of your active subscriptions.
- Tap Cancel Subscription, then tap Confirm.
- If there is no cancel button but you see red text saying your subscription will expire soon, it is already cancelled.
On Android
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Tap your profile icon in the top right.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions.
- Select Clue in the list of your active subscriptions.
- Tap Cancel Subscription.
- If Clue is not listed, check whether you are signed into a different Google account — tap your profile icon to switch.
Then delete the account
- Open your Clue app.
- Go to the More Menu — the '=' in the top-right corner of your Cycle View.
- Tap Support.
- Tap Account Questions.
- Scroll down and tap "How do I delete my account?".
- Enter your password and tap Delete account.
If you signed up with Google, Facebook or an Apple masked email, your account may have no password — reset it before you start, or the final step will block you. Deletion is irreversible: Clue warns your data is deleted with no further confirmation and cannot be recovered. Bought Clue Plus on helloclue.com rather than in-app? That one is billed through Paddle, not the app stores. Import your history into PinkyBloom before you delete anything.
